what my film is about

It starts of in a room with a girl panicking about something. She keeps on saying that she needs more time and is rushing around looking for something. The door then opens and the TV switches on. This shadow figure then enters the room and the girl looks very frightened. The shadow figure gets closer ad we then hear a loud scream. The scene then ends.
A group of kids are on the school field playing. This group of kids decide to stay late and break into the supply room which the police are keeping locked due to a crime investigation. Inside the room they find a locket on the floor. One of the girls (Sophie) picks up the necklace and opens the locket. Inside is a picture of a woman and a young girl. She then looks away and calls her friends over however when she turns back to it, the picture of the young girl is missing.
When Sophie gets home, she puts the locket on and falls asleep. She starts having strange dreams with the young girl in the picture in them. She wakes up all panicked and stressed and doesn’t realise what the dreams were about.
She gets ready for school and decides to forget about the dreams until she starts seeing the girl around. She sees her out the window, on the bus and by her school. She is there for seconds and then disappears. Sophie starts to freak out and tells her friends. Her best friend Lisa takes the locket from her and wears it herself.
The next day, Lisa tells Sophie that she was having the same dreams and seeing the same girl. They both then decide to go look up the case and find out who she is.
They go to the library together that afternoon and use the computers to look up the case. They find out the girls name was Samara. She was 8 years old when her parents left her to burn in their house. Her parents trapped her in her bedroom and set fire to the house. Lisa and Sophie both realised that that is what they were seeing in their dream; a burning house. Sophie then found out that Samara’s parents were then found hung in their new apartment.
It was getting late and they were the last ones in the library. All of a sudden the lights went off and they both see Samara in the distance. She starts walking towards them but then the lights come back on and she’s gone. As the girls get up they see Liam, Sophie’s boyfriend, dead on the floor. Both girls scream and run out the library. Sophie falls to the floor and cries whilst Lisa calls the police. After a few seconds the phone cuts off and the street lights start to flicker.
Sophie and Lisa get in the car ad start to drive away. On every corner they see Samara standing and staring at them.
They get back to Lisa’s house and run to her bedroom. The girls are panicking and keep saying they need more time. They are rushing around looking for something which ends up being the locket. The lights go off and Samara starts to walk in the room. They both scream. Lisa continues to look for the locket; however Sophie’s is too frightened and backs into the corner. Samara starts walking over to Sophie first.
Lisa shouts out that she has found the locket and turn around. When she looks over to Sophie, she sees that Samara has already hanged her from the door. Lisa cries and screams. Samara starts walking over to Lisa and Lisa looks her right in the eyes before smashing the locket into tiny pieces. Samara screams and vanishes. The lights turn back on Lisa calls the police straight away.

The next day, a group of kids are walking in the park. One of the girls treads on something and looks to the floor to see the locket. She picks it up. The scene cuts off.
